Polish citizenship by Naturalization
Recognition - A foreigner is recognized
as Polish, if they ask for it, know the Polish
language, are not a security risk, and meet one of the following terms:
- Lived in Poland for the last 3 years as a permanent resident, has a stable and regular source of income, owns or rents an apartment or house.
- Lived in Poland legally for the last 10 years and currently has a permanent resident status and a stable and regular source of income, and owns or rents an apartment or house.
- Lived in Poland for the last 2 years as a permanent resident and is either stateless, a refugee or a repatriate.
Granting - The President of Poland may grant Polish citizenship to any foreigner who asks for it.
(I have yet to meet someone who has received such recognition...).
